These "favorites" lists seem to be popular thread topics in all the other tribes, so I thought I'd start one here. My absolute favorite designer is Alexander McQueen, and that's mostly what I wear when I go out. I've always been "alternative" since my early teens, and I grew into a huge McQueen fan after his first hard-edged, punk- and goth-inspired collections. I was a huge Gaultier fan starting in high school and through the '90s until I switched to McQueen. Gaultier was so creative, and then when he started doing haute couture in '97 he stopped doing his own ready-to-wear collections (or am I not supposed to tell anyone that?) his collections went way downhill. He used to be the hottest French designer for over a decade, and now he's considered a relatively minor designer, which is sad. I also love women's Comme des Garcons, since I really like creative, avant-garde designers. And rounding out the top three would be vintage Stephen Sprouse. I think he was really underrated back in the day, which is a shame. I was into Galliano menswear for one season (Fall '04), but I'm kind of over it now. And I was on a Dries Van Noten kick for a few seasons there, but I'm over that, too. I started McQueen, CdG, and Sprouse tribes if anyone's interested. I have to do some work on them first, though.
